Hi Nicholas
Do you have any info on the Coutsuros family in Castellorizo? A marriage may exist there around 1900 between Andony Coutsuros and a Despina. They both died in Perth (1942 and 1955). I have no info on the maiden name of the wife. Their children and descendants in Perth went under the surname of Nicholls. My 1st cousin is married to a Nicholls descendant and the Cazzie Assn President of WA's wife is also a descendant of this family.
Hope you can assist.
Best wishes Allan

Allan,
Antonios Nikolaou Koutsouros married Despina Vasiliou Hatzikoinia some time prior to 18 February 1906 which is the date of their dowry contract that refers to the marriage already having occurred.
The bride's family appears to have originated from Myra, given that they possessed landholdings there.
The adopted surname in Australia is undoubtedly a remnant of Antonios' father's name, Nikolaos.

Further to my earlier post, here is Antonios' photograph from his Italian passport which is held by the National Archives: Nicholas

And here is Despina, with three of her children, Anna, Vassiliki and Yiorgos, taken from Despina's Italian passport. Nicholas
