I have just returned from Greece leaving Kastellorizo as my last destination. What a beautiful island. I was hoping to find my fathers family home site, unfortunately I did not. I did find my grand fathers grave, thanks to the map & transcriptions on this site, it was so moving, I went back with a sprig of gum tree and an icon and said a prayer for a man I have never met but love all the same. I was also impressed and very moved by the museum. I also visited the church of St Constantine & St Helen, where I am sure my grand fathers funeral may have been, the school was certainly the photo that of have of my grand fathers funeral and a wedding photo I have that I assume is a relative. I look forward to taking my husband back to this beautiful island and taking him into the Blue Grotto where my father use to swim. Thanks to George for taking me to the Blue Grotto, what an experience. I now count myself as a Kazzie, I am so proud of my heritage. Carol (Alexandra) Elkington nee Kambouris)

Carol,
Delighted that your trip to the island was so magical for you.
The two old photos you refer to are of great interest. If you are happy to share them (either on this Forum or privately through good scans) I may be able to assist you in identifying those pictured. In particular, I should be able to tell you whose wedding it is, if it is a pre-War photo.
Please let me know if I can be of assistance. You may use info@castellorizohistory.com for private communications.
Regards, Nicholas
