Hi all,
Great to be back after trip to Greece and our island the Rock.
New trace ,
does anyone have any information on the, " Veniti " family.
My aunt Sevasti married into the Beigeorgi family and I would like to try to trace the family background , I am helping her daughter to do some research .

George,
To assist in my research, are you able to tell me the first names of Sevasti's parents?

George,
Mihail Antoniou Venitis married Sophia Pandeli Kaiserli on 20 April 1906.
By dowry contract signed the day before at the municipal offices, the bride's widowed mother, Sevasti, gave a house in the town to her daughter, together with a halandron (a partially completed or ruinous house) on the road to the Aheres and various items of jewellery.
The witnesses to the contract were Mihail Omeros and municipal employee Anastasios Passaris. The parish priest who was also present was Yeorgios Papadopoulos.
I hope this is of assistance.

Nicholas,
Is it possible to get a copy of the dowry document please.
I take it that there are no other references to the Veniti line.

George,
Please send me a private message with your details and I will send it to you.
There are many references to the Venitis family in the dowry archive, but no others to this particular union.

Sevasti is suffering with altsimers so it is difficult now to get much history from her , any help would be appreciated.

I am interested to know whether these Veniti people were related to a Costandina Veniti who was married to a Basilio Poniros. I am compiling a genealogical history of my family and the Veniti are associated through marriage to an ancestor. Grateful for any ideas, advice or information. Steve (Stavros)

Hi Steve, You mention Constantina Ponirou (nee Veniti) in your message - see below her alien registration certificate from 1948 that includes her birth and marriage details. I hope this assists. Regards, Nicholas
