i have recently posted at my zervos family website an interview of Michael C Mangos for ABC Radio National in 1978. The interviewer is Richard Brown. The 30 minute interview is in the form of an mp3 sound file.Michael Mangos came to Australia in 1908 to work at his uncle Pitsikas's cafe in Kalgoorlie WA. There are also photographs from 1910 through to the 1940s. As well, I have included an article from a 1983 Melbourne Kastellorizian Newsletter profiling Michael Mangos, and an article from the Clarion newspaper about cafe life in Windsor. The url is zervos.com.au/mmwebpage/michaelmangos.html

Thank you for the the Zervos website. The name, Michael "Mick" Mangos brings back lots of childhood memories. My father, Con Kambouris was a great friend of Michael. Our family enjoyed many evenings at "The Club" in Lonsdale Street and also the picnics. Although my mother (Myrtle) was Australian she was always accepted by the Kassie community. I still have links to some of your family - Don Miriklis (our childrens went to school together) and Chrissy Adgemis and family.
Thanks for bringing back some lovely memories of the past.
