Hi all in this list!
A few days ago, Chryssoula Spyrides translated from greek a short notice about Diomataris Diamantaras, contained in a genealogy tree written in Greek. It tells about Diomataris Diamataras and his ship. With other nine castellorizian captains joined Konstandinos Canaris fight for independence, specially at the Battle of Attalya.
The signature in such text is from Kostas Efthasios Atzemis, in Rhodes, 18/2/1969.
Does anybody in this list know something about that story? Nobody here knows in which way it arrived to Brazil. No one had ever met Kostas Atzemis (perhaps Constantino Spyrides, my late father in law). I’ve started a search on the internet with regard to Konstantinos Canaris and Attalya Battle against an Egyptian fleet, but the information there is too scarse, nothing at all.
Where can I search for information about the Attalia Battle and the 10 Castellorizian ships that joined Konstantinos Canaris force?
Regards
Cristián

Cristian,
Please refer to p 75 of Castellorizo: An Illustrated History of the Island and its Conquerors and, in particular, the sources cited in footnote 9 on that page for details of this encounter.
