I beleive the last family to emigrate from Kastellorizo to Perth - mid to late 1960's was the Asvesti Family. Husband Manolis, wife Katina, and they had 3 children: Kosta, Anesta (Esther) & Kristalla. Can anyone tell me if they have gone back to Kazzie. I do believe the daughter Esther married a Kazzie boy, who was related (by his sister's marriage) to the Kakulas family.
I believe Katina's maiden name to be Christodoulou, and she had a brother who lived in Qld.
Katina's mother is the elderly lady who is stting on the steps in front of a doorway of a Kastellorizo house. This picture appears on many Kazzie websites.
I would be grateful for any help. Allan Cresswell and I tried to contact, but were not successful.
Katina had a great knowledge of the Kazzie families.
I would appreciate any input.
Regards to all Kazzies - and keep up the posts!!!!!!! Evdokia (Eva) Koutsoukos

Evdokia & Tzimenda,
The dowry archive reveals that the parents of Manolis, Konstandinos & Anastasia (nee Hatzikoinia), married on the island on 30 December 1917.
The 1947 census records that they were living on the island at that time with sons Vasilios (b. 1919) and Manolis (b. 1933). Also living on the island was eldest son Nikolaos with his own family (wife Evangelia and children Konstandinos & Dimitrios).
Please reply on this thread if you seek further information.
Nicholas
