Karnayo house is probably the nicest of the rooms that are available. They offer different types of apartments for rent. Their is no hotel (though you may find it listed on some sites it is undergoing renovation). The best way to reach them is by calling directly and not trying to book online. if for some reason they are booked most of the room owners are very helpful and will direct you to another owner if you just ask them politely if they know of any other rooms. You can also try this number and speak with Louise who is Greek Australian and very helpful 22460 49092. SHe has a couple apartments though they are not in the traditional decor non the less tastefully done, nor have they a view but are fully equipped (new kitchen/bath), quiet, and very affordable.

Hi
My wife and I are going to be in Castellorizo late Sep early Oct 2008. We had no end of trouble trying to book accommodation online either by the online website forms or even by direct emails. No-one ever answered them. As a last resort and in frustration we rang a cousin in Sydney who gave us a phone number and it was arranged in a few hours. We are still waiting for email replies from our first three choices. The moral of the story is to ring and do not try and communicate by email.
Regards Allan

I recently(July 08) visited Cazzie and had made an on line booking with Mandraki Masinonettes. When I arrived I was let down .However I managed to find the Posiedon apartments which was in a better locations than the other. It was in the centre of the harbour "Limani"and only EU65p.n I highly recommend the Posiedon apartments.

I have been in Cassie in July 08, I normally book through the Monika & Damien website, but I normally send them an email as soon as I know the arrival date, because the internet connections in Cassie is very, very slow, so I imagine that they don't log on to the net on a regular basis. Monika & Damiens is very clean & cheap, no harbour views but still almost in the middle of the harbour, so, close to everything. They also have a restaurant & gift shop. I hope you all enjoy your stay in Cassie.

hi Finally going to Castellorizo, thinking of April 2010 is this a good time of year. What is the best way to get there from Australia, would a stop over be a good idea so as not to be too tired when I arrive, and what tours would you suggest would be worth doing of any other islands. How many days would I need in cassy and what is the best value accomodation. Should I try and learn some greek before I get there. Very excited Carol Elkington (Kambouris)

Carol, I find April to be the quiet time of year and still pretty cold, the best time to go is their summer, maybe from July to October? I have been in April, and not many places are open then, either in Kassie or Rhodes. They seem to wait for the summer tourist season to open everything. I went in July last year and everything was open, the weather was hot, and the whole island was very active. Summer is also more pleasurable for visiting places like the Blue Grotto, a must do when going to Kassie.
